Nasty Comedians

Well i saw in the Module Guide that we have a lecture coming up on 'Nasty Comedians' and immediately Frankie Boyle came to my mind strait away, so I thought that I would wright a blog about it! Don't get me wrong I'm a big fan of Frankie Boyle! I think he's full on hilarious but some of the jokes he makes could make him in the running for being a 'Nasty Comedian'. He tries to make the horrific incidents in life funny examples of pedophilia and murder are common topics of his humor although as an audience we realise that his crude sense of humour is really just an aspect of a joke and a way in which to shock its audience.

That's what all comedians are trying to do is make their audience laugh, they don't consider boundaries when there performing! This is the same when referring to the situation which caused so much out raw between Jonathan Ross and Russell brand! Jonathan Ross is a family man and a devoted one at that, he is always commenting about his children when speaking to guest stars on his show. The comedian was simply caught up in the moment of humour with Russell Brand and hadn't taken time to consider the consequences of his actions, he later went on to apologise to the Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs as did Russell Brand.

People must remember that when comedians are performing more than anything it is an act, just like actors put on a character so do comedians.

Keith Lemon is a very good example of an 'actor' comedian, he fully re-invents himself to become the character that appeals to his audiences! And his crudeness could be considered as worthy of having a title of 'bad' behaviour.
